Our process

Our simple website design and development process ensures that clients get exactly the website they desire quickly and cost-effectively. Here are the steps in our process.

1. Discovery meeting

As soon as you have your first interested client, the first step is a discovery meeting between you and your assigned project team. The objective of this meeting is for us to get an understanding of your client before we meet  with them to take the brief. The more background we get from you in advance the better prepared we will be together to meet with your client and understand from them what they want.

2. Briefing meeting

The next stage is for you and your assigned production team to meet with the client. You can sit in person with the client while we are online, or, we can all meet online, the choice is yours. The purpose of this meeting to understand from the client’s perspective what they are looking for in their website. We will ask all the relevant questions and take meticulous notes. At the end of this meeting we will have a clear understanding of exactly what the client needs.

3. Proposal and quote

Following the briefing meeting, your website production team will create a detailed proposal and quote. The quote will be broken down into three columns for your viewing only. The first column will be our cost. The second column will be our recommended price to your client. The third column will be your revenue on the project. Our objective is to provide our associates with a markup between 25-30% on our costs. For example, a $5,000 website will give our associate an income of $1,000-1,200.

Once you are happy with our proposal/quote, simply copy and paste it on to your own letterhead and send it to the client.

4. Website design

Once the client has approved the quote paid a 50% advance, your assigned creative director will create a design for the website.  This will be a PDF file showing what the production ream believes landing page should look like.
This is a great opportunity for initial feedback from you and your client. Adjustments can be made to the look at feel and once approved, we move to the next stage.

5. Website build

Once the site design has been approved we start building the website. First the landing page is completed. We will provide you with a link to see the landing page, which you can share with your client. From this point on, each page is built and added to the website for review and approval. You and the client get to watch the construction of the website page-by-page until it is complete. Both you and the client get the opportunity review and request changes as each page is made visible.

6. Site goes live

Once the site has been built, we make it live, and the final payment is due. We can either work with the client’s existing website hosting service or provide hosting as required.

We also quote for annual site maintenance. Site maintenance involves members of our team going into the website control panel each month to update the CMS, update plugins, update the server software if needed and to check on any security issues. Our team make sure that we site is always operational and always up to date.

7. Post live services

Trade Only Websites can also provide white label digital marketing services to ensure clients’ websites get noticed. Services include search engine optimization, Google, Bing, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram Advertising.
